Hygiene Hypothesis and T1D

Scientists are working on ways to treat and prevent autoimmune diseases like Type 1 diabetes with an unconventional therapy. Dr. Karin Hehenberger, Executive Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Coronado Biosciences, talks about the hygiene hypothesis, how this applies to autoimmune diseases, and upcoming clinical trials for  newly diagnosed and high risk people with T1D.
