If something sounds too good to be true, that should be a dead give-away it’s false. I present to you the “Chocolate Diet”. Sounds delicious, sounds even more delicious when the headlines read it leads to weight loss. Fast forward to the big reveal and it’s a Harvard researcher wagging his finger at reporters for failing to perform due diligence on the stories they report. He was even more baffled when glossy print magazines printed the spoofed study. The moral of the hoax was don’t believe a study if it tells you to always eat this food, or never eat this food to lose weight. Were you fooled by the “Chocolate Diet”? Sometimes, even the most unbelievable story sounds real, if we want to believe it’s true.
