@DolePackaged #Spinach Recalled For Salmonella Risk

spinachDole has issued a product recall for bagged spinach in 13-states. The voluntary recall is due to possible contamination of salmonella. The spinach is coded A27409B & A27409A, with an Enjoy By date of October 15 and UPC 7143000976. No illnesses have been reported and Dole is cooperating with the FDA. A random test of the spinach was positive for salmonella.  Of the 33,600 bags of spinach, the company estimates that the cases were distributed throughout: Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The plant where the spinach derived is in Springfield, Ohio.
