#Potatoes Spike #BloodPressure

potatoesOh dear, potatoes. One of the popular and cheapest vegetables may be the culprit of undesirable blood pressure spikes. In all fairness, potatoes aren’t the first thought in your head when asked about a healthy vegetable. It lives in the root vegetable family and is laden with starches and carbohydrates, compared to the leafy green kind. Nevertheless, potatoes do give rise to blood sugar which in-turn boots the BP. Now you know. Is there an easy solution? Not exactly but engaging your culinary creativity may bring out the cauliflower, kale, or celery root. I know it’s not perfect but it’s worth a try.
