Devices like laptops and smartphones emit blue light. Our TVs also have the alluring aura of blue light, which disrupts our sleep by interfering with melatonin. Melatonin is our relaxation hormone that enables us to achieve restful and replenishing sleep. When we sleep, it’s time for your brain to rest. If your phone is nearby charging – any alerts can disrupt your quality of sleep. This unfortunately leaves us feeling tired and even adversely effects our IQ.
