Confusing Study on #Soy Link to #BreastCancer

breastcancerMaybe I’m overthinking it but I’m all sorts of confused about the soy link to breast cancer. Many people who have experienced breast cancer feel that there’s a strong correlation to soy consumption and the incidence of breast cancer. In fact, Breastcancer.og posted an article claiming that soy turns-on the gene linked to cancer growth. But now we’re seeing a study published that says soy doesn’t worsen breast cancer and may even prevent it. I’m speechless but The take-home remarks from a lead author in the study were resoundingly ambiguous: “We recommend that readers keep in mind that soy foods can potentially have an impact, but only as a component of an overall healthy diet.” Potentially have an impact, eh? Drop the mic.
