Research has revealed that we have 7 types of stress. If you are perpetually uneasy about Trump and the current news, you’re an’ambient stress’ doll. Avoid negative people. Avoid the need to be unnecessarily involved in events that you cannot change. Focus on the things that you can control like your response to these events and people. This is my Achilles heel. The rest of the list rounds-out with work stress, parenting stress, urban living stress, childhood trauma, money woes, and life changes. Each type of stress has a specific cause and the ways to ease tension are different. The more we cling to a negative feeling about anything, the more intensified it becomes. The more intensified a negative feeling becomes, the more it controls us. Nobody outside of the organization knows how to control it. You are the organization. Let the seed grow in a safe environment. Keep the negative thoughts away from the vulnerable little plant. It’s not about the tree you want it to be tomorrow. It’s about providing the best environment for growth today.
