If you like fresh foods, vegetables, fish,and a touch of olive oil, the Mediterranean diet may be your spirit animal. The other diet of honorable mention for 2018 is the DASH diet. Although this little acronym isn’t appealing, the DASH diet for beginners may turn you on to it. A diet is supposed to help you lose weight and nestle into a healthy life. But the included benefits of the DASH diet include lowering blood pressure, lowering cholesterol, and likely will help control any blood sugar swings you may experience.
