A study found that people who ate more produce, fruits and vegetables, were the beacons of positive vibes. Fruits aren’t typically cooked or heated but the vegetables were shown to be extra potent on mental health when consumed in their natural state.
So what are the magical players in this cornucopia of goodness? First the details on the participants in the study: 400 people, aged 18-25 were surveyed. This age group was the center of attention because they are at a higher risk of mental disorders and typically eat few fruits and vegetables.
So the fresh foods that impacted the brain best are kiwis, leafy greens like spinach, fresh berries, bananas, cucumbers, citrus fruits, lettuce, grapefruits, apples, and carrots. Of course coupling fresh fruits and veggies with exercise is a win-win for mind and body.
Show somebody you care today. Send them a branch-to-box treat of mental goodness. Who sends a fruit box in May? You, if you want to surprised a loved one and boost mood all around.
