Are those glasses you’re wearing? Wear them proudly because a new study says it may mean you are, in fact, smarter because you are wearing glasses.
It’s been proven that people who wear glasses are genetically smarter. No seriously. People who wear glasses are 33% smarter than those who don’t wear glasses. The genes fall favorably for glasses wearers, too. They live longer. They have less high blood pressure. Most importantly nowadays, they are less likely to have a major depressive disorder. You want a paid, don’t you?
The positive health benefits fall into place for those who wear contact lenses, too. The one shortcoming in this study is that although it was done with a ton of data from many people – they were all of Eastern European decent. Well genes are genes, whatever the ethnicity of the vehicle.
Intelligence has been studied for many years and there have been no concrete genes identified linking smarts. Thanks to glass wearers – we now have a stronghold on the intelligence quotient market and it lies within the frames. I wonder if reading glasses count?
