Climate Change. We hear about it all the time but how does it affect us? There may be a shortage of grapes for wine, this year. This hurricane season is going to be an active one. Going to South America? Don’t go if you’re pregnant and don’t plan on conceiving for 3-6 months after your return. Ladies and gentleman, those are all statements courtesy of climate change.
Check-out the All-State Insurance commercial. We’ve had way too many “super storms” in the last 10-years for the projected models in previous years. Climate change is impacting your insurance rates. After Super Storm Sandy, people on Long Island were hard-pressed to get coverage for water damage.
So what can we do about this climate change? There is something called “Climate Change Denial”. We all have free will. Someone denies something exists but you can’t argue the facts. The sea level is rising. The temperatures are rising. Food supplies are being threatened by the difficult growing conditions.
Science is reading the writing on the wall. Climate change is real. We may not be able to stop it (at this time) but there are certainly ways to slow it down. Maybe those people who deny climate change exists are waiting on the singularity event. Put all the big problems on the desk of humanitarian artificial intelligence and it’ll be solved, pronto!
